Methodology
The 2023 Inc. 5000 Regionals rank companies according to their percentage revenue growth comparing 2019 to 2021. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019. Furthermore, they were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—operating as non-subsidiaries and non-divisions of other entities—as of December 31, 2021 (noting that several ranked companies have since gone public or been acquired). Qualification required a minimum 2019 revenue of $100,000 and a minimum 2021 revenue of $1 million. As with all annual rankings, Inc. retains the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
