The Need
Approximately one third of all work-related injuries and illnesses in the United States are due to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Workers who experience MSDs often take more days to return to work than those with other types of injuries and illnesses.
Hispanic restaurant owners are a population in need of information about MSD prevention. This is because the food services industry is the second largest category for Hispanic-owned businesses with paid employees, and this sector is growing rapidly in the United States.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), under the direction of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) wanted to produce several videos on MSD prevention for Hispanic business owners in the food service industry.
The Solution
NIOSH and the CDC awarded a prime contract to Identika to produce, film, and edit two PSA commercials and a 30-second teaser about the prevention of MSDs in Hispanic-owned restaurants.
Identika carried out a full video production process to develop an engaging, original video series for the Client, comprising research, storyline development, scripting and storyboards, focus groups, pre-production, branding asset creation, principal photography, post-production, teaser editing, and multi-format delivery.
