Research that began with listening
The campaign began with a practical question: what prevents Fairfax County residents from finding the support that can help them age, live independently, and care for family members? Identika brought together data analysis, focus groups, survey research, social listening, environmental scans, and feedback from community partners to answer it.
The research design centered the audiences the program needed to serve: older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers. The accessible survey was available in English, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Amharic, Urdu, and Arabic.
A clearer path to awareness
The findings translated into a campaign direction built around multiple channels and recognizable, inclusive creative. The resulting Your Fairfax, Your Future platform gave the Adult and Aging Division a cohesive identity and an evidence-led foundation for outreach.
The final recommendations prioritized a multi-channel awareness campaign, a more senior-friendly web experience, clearer communication materials, expanded use of trusted messengers, and a stronger 50+ Community Ambassador program.
